Summer Internship Program

This paid summer internship program provides a work-based learning experience for qualified high school students enrolled in SFUSD career academies. Interns report to their internship 20 hours a week over six weeks with an industry partner. Students earn an hourly wage and 5 elective credits. The Summer Internship Program runs from June 12, 2017, to July 24, 2017.

Through this part-time (20 hours per week) six-week summer internship, students can gain hands-on exposure to careers in the Real Estate, Technology, Law, Non-profit, Hospitality, and Transportation industries. Interns work in an office setting with a variety of departments including finance, operations, human relations, legal, information technology and more! In addition, eligible interns can receive academic credit for their participation. All interns participate in professional development seminars once a week to ensure they are getting the most from their internship experience.

The program runs from June 7 to July 12. Interns work at their work site 4 days a week and participate in a professional development seminar once a week that allows them school credit.
