Career Possibilities at Starbucks

Being a Barista at Starbucks can lead you down a career pathway you might never have imagined!

As a part of Starbucks’ Global Month of Service, the San Francisco Regional Office hosted students from OMI Excelsior Beacon Center to come tour their offices and learn about the variety of jobs they offer. Starbucks volunteers lead group discussions with the students about how their unique passions can be explored within the company. Interested in branding and marketing? The Starbucks design team looks for creative, passionate, and hard-working people to contribute to one of the most recognizable logos in the world. Other departments that lead information sessions at the career day included volunteers from the business development, facilities, operations, and human resources departments. These Starbucks employees let the students know that getting their first job at Starbucks lead them towards amazing careers. In collaboration with United Way of the Bay Area, Starbucks also hosted a skills development seminar to help prepare them for entering the workforce.

For fun, students had the chance to make their own Vanilla Bean Frappuchinos- YUM!

Those drinks look delicious!
