Young Community Developers (YCD)
Established in 1973, YCD is a 39-year-old 501c (3) community based organization that provides a variety of training and support opportunities for residents of the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood of San Francisco. Approximately 1,800 individuals per year receive employment and training-related services through YCD. The targeted population is among the hardest to serve. YCD has successfully operated both educational and employment-based training opportunities for residents of the Southeast Sector. The vision of YCD is to be a community leader in producing independent and productive members of society by providing innovative and high quality trainings and services. YCD understands, assists and empowers individuals with everyday tools and services that transform lives in the Southeast Sector of San Francisco.
