Election Day Poll Positions

The San Francisco Department of Elections hires over 1200 high school poll workers each year to help on election day. Young people can earn up to $142 including bonuses for being fluent in Spanish or Cantonese. If you want to get involved in the electoral process and earn some extra cash, apply today!

  • Youth must be at least 16 years of age, attend a high school in San Francisco and have a minimum 2.5 GPA to qualify for election day poll positions.
  • Youth need a parent's signature and a teacher's signature giving them permission to miss school on Tuesday, November 4th.
